ADAPT strives to be the best landlord for its tenants by ensuring individual homes in our portfolio are well maintained and cared for and ensuring renovations are executed as soon as they are needed. We actively work to retrofit our existing homes to meet the needs of their occupants through upgrading to universal design standards whilst keeping the feel and original character. Within the last five years we have spent over $400,000 on maintenance and property improvements on our two period houses in Thames which is home for 10 individuals as well as a support unit for on call staff.

Being the best landlord also means having a long duration rental contract in place that is fair for both the owner as well as the tenant so that ultimately an individual living inside one of ADAPT’s homes can be sure that they can stay there provided it is well looked after. Working together with service providers, we ensure systems are in place that help identify issues early and that keep both health & safety and maintenance top of mind.

These same standards will be applied to any homes in ADAPT’s portfolio, be it homes entrusted in our care or one of our new homes built following ADAPT’s own new design guidelines We believe this will put them at the very forefront of standards available.
